Intro

I am John. I have over 15 years of experience in software development, with a focus on system design, technical leadership and project management.

My main domain is Linux in general and modern C, C++ with ecosystem for providing stable and high reliable systems. Mainly for timing and safety critical usage.

I was managing projects from Medical (MDR Class A/Level 3 devices), Automotive (ISO 26262 ASIL), Industrial (IEC 61508 SIL) and other safety critical domains mainly as system architect or engineering director.

Philosophy

I love formal systems and clean, simple architecture where the purpose should match the implementation. System shall be easily testable, maintainable and shall not pose a problem to understand its principles.

I believe the good design is done through discussion and honing the detail. Teams shall feel safe to discuss and challenge the design.

I encourage engineering to be involved in the design process and to be able to understand the system as a whole. It is crucial for each engineer to understand the product and its context they work on!

AI

As a consultant, I use AI to automate as many of my workflows as possible, and I help my teams adopt the same mindset.

However, integrating AI systems into domains where reliability, reproducibility, and trustworthiness are essential is not straightforward. Because of these risks, AI is often avoided entirely.

Yet the benefits of using AI for clearly automatable tasks are enormous.

That is why AnyPreta has developed technology for AI-agentic workflows that remain stable over time, reliable, and predictable.
